Hair Fest – What a night!

Published: 13 Sep, 2023

Our Hair Fest event has been and gone but we’re definitely still feeling those festival vibes. What an awesome time we had!

Guests were welcomed by our festival themed green carpet, leading them into the salon where it was divided into different zones, each one for different treatments and treats! As the salon began to fill up with our wonderful guests, the hair-up section proved popular, guests were treated to gorgeous braided styles, while some even had a go themselves on friends and family!

The glitter make overs from Kimberley McCue of Weave and Wink was most people’s next stop as Kimberley used her magic to create fun glitter looks, not just for faces but the hair too! Even Mike from Supporting Local Champions had a go!

Our Schwarzkopf Colour Experts were on hand to offer expert advice and even managed to persuade some of our guests to try out some of the BlondMe Instant Blushes; these sprays offer a fun and temporary way to try out colour on blonde hair and come in four shades Strawberry, Ice, Jade and Steel Blue and are available to purchase in the salon.

Vicky was kept busy all night providing nail and hand treatments in the nail bar while guests were kept full with delicious mini bagels, fruit loaves and energy balls provided by Riverhead Coffee.

Just a few happy guests and team

Blogger Katie Middleton had one of the hair cocktail treatments and a blow dry, she said:

“I’ve never been so impressed with my hair. It’s so soft and touchable, I feel so glamorous!”

Style Director Dawn Keenan said:

“I’m very proud of the team’s efforts in organising the event and giving up their time to make the evening such a success.

“There was such a buzz in the salon and it was so lovely to see everyone having such a fantastic time in aid of this great charity.”

Towards the end of the evening, the raffle was called and would you believe it, Mr G scooped the top prize, the stunning sterling silver cuff, generously donated by House of McCue, but of course, he kindly refused and let the raffle ticket be drawn again, what a gent!

And a huge thank you

The evening was a huge success, raising over £1000 for Supporting Local Champions and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of all those who contributed: The salon team, Kim from Weave and Wink, Helen and Sarah from Schwarzkopf, Nic from Riverhead Coffee, Sean & Lynsey from House of McCue, Kate from Kate Lister Flower Design, Hayley from Cleethorpes Candle Company and Angela from Grooming by Angela, and of course our wonderful guests who attended the event or bought raffle tickets. Thank you all for your generosity and time, we couldn’t have done it without you!
