Hair Tests During Your Colour Consultation
At Cutting Club, the health of your hair is always our number one priority, especially when it comes to colouring. During your consultation, our experienced colourists may carry out a few quick, gentle tests to understand your hair’s condition and ensure we choose the safest, most effective approach for you.
Strand Test
A small amount of colour is applied to a hidden section of your hair to see how it responds. This helps us predict the final result, check how long the colour should process, and ensure your hair stays healthy throughout the colouring service, especially if your hair has been previously coloured or treated.
Elasticity Test
By gently stretching a damp strand, we assess how strong and flexible your hair is. This tells us whether your hair is in good shape for colouring or if it needs a little TLC, like a bond-building or strengthening treatment, beforehand.
Porosity Test
